Robert Faurisson’s large body of work, including his ‘phrase of sixty words’ uttered on a 1980 radio talk show hosted by a rattled Ivan Levaï, not only threatened the ideological foundations of the post-WW2 world order, but also contested an actual religion, or rather a counter-religion: namely, the Holocaust. Faurisson contested a cult that does not accept a lack of deference and submission from anybody. He contested a (false) god who demands that people incessantly burn incense to him, that they worship him, that they rekindle the flame like at Yad Vashem, that they bring flowers and weep during pilgrimages to, and processions at, Auschwitz and elsewhere, that they beat their chest and exclaim “never again”.

The Holocaust, or Shoah, is a counter-religion taught in as early as primary school and all throughout the rest of one’s life, by way of television, cinema and other forms of entertainment. It mimics catholic rituals with its cult of martyrs (the 6 million myth), its cult of saints (men deemed just and rewarded for it by the state of Israel), its cult of miraculous survivors (Holocaust survivors), its cult of stigmatized victims (deportees with their number tattooed on the arm), its pilgrimages and atoning processions from Auschwitz to Struthof, its temples and cathedrals (Holocaust museums, the Holocaust Memorial), its alms for absolving people of their faults (incessant financial reparations in favor of descendants of deportees as well as the state of Israel), its hagiography (books by Elie Wiesel, Primo Levi…), its martyrology (walls and memorials on which the identities and surnames of victims are recorded), its places of torture (the homicidal gas chambers), its Tables of the Law (the Declaration of human rights), its Gospel (the judgment of the International Military Tribunal of Nuremberg), its high priests and pontiffs (Klarsfeld, Veil, Lanzmann…), its inquisition (the Republican courts and the dozens of countries in the world with repressive, anti-revisionist arsenals), its legislation against blasphemy (the Fabius-Gayssot Law and its equivalent throughout the West), its judges (the magistrates), its Holy City (the Zionist entity), its archangels (Tsahal protecting Eretz), its preachers and guardians (the teachers and all the governing bodies, be it political, media, religious, trade union, associative, Sports, economic), its Holy congregations (the World Jewish Congress, the B’nai B’rith, CRIF, LICRA, UEJF, AIPAC…), its Hell (revisionists; Catholics faithful to the doctrine on the New Israel, to the so-called theology of substitution; and all nationalists except for Israelis), its faithful followers (almost all of humanity), and its disbelievers (revisionists).

The Shoah mimics Christianity all the while inverting it: it promotes hatred over love, lies over truth, Talmudic vengeance over forgiveness, tracking down the elderly over respecting them, the imprescriptible nature of crimes over the remission of sins, the lure of gain over the spirit of poverty, the will to dominate (libido dominandi) over humility, blackmail over charity, lynching over respecting others, an uproar of accusations over silent contemplation, the noise and fury of the media over the discretion of domestic virtues, the partiality of victor’s justice over God’s infinite justice.
